Interior Health Team wins Top
Innovator Award
Excellence in BC Healthcare
An Interior Health team has
won top honours as Top Innovator in the Excellence in BC Healthcare awards
for 2007.
Lee
VanMeter and her team received the Health Authority Award at the inaugural
Excellence in BC Healthcare Awards held in Vancouver. The award was
presented at a June 25 ceremony for a Staff Services Redesign pilot project.
Aura Rose
of Healthwise Communications Inc. was not only the communication lead on the
project, but also prepared and wrote the winning award application. Aura’s
application was one of 143 nominations from across the province submitted
for consideration by the evaluation team.
“Aura
transformed months of complex work into a clear, crisp and convincing
application,” said Gentil Mateus, Human Resources Regional Director for
Interior Health. “Aura understands the issues, the people, and the
language. That ability, combined with more than 10 years experience, gives
her a professional advantage, and Interior Health another award.”
Writing
the winning application is the latest success for Aura who also wrote the
winning application for the coveted H2E North American Award for
Environmental Achievement. The award was presented to Interior Health in
Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 14, 2007. |
